I can only hope this experience creates a new standard for authors to inspire and entertain young readers and writers. Personally, I know my students were motivated more than I could've hoped. Even my most reluctant reader was hooked. In fact, my class scrutinized the Caudill and Bluestem lists, eagerly asked to visit the library, and readily shared their thoughts about what they were reading. Later this week, when I put 22 copies of "Dodger and Me" in their hands, I know my students will be clammoring to read! And with a hot cup of coffee nearby, imagine the reading rates! Kudos to you and your publisher for utilizing the technology in such a meaningful way!
